Beyond our letters and appeals

I was not sure what to title this post. It is a good problem that I have so many thank you posts that I am running out of titles! Over Christmas we had two very generous and very surprising gifts. Both were $500. The first was from David's great aunt Vonnie and her husband Roger. They said that at the end of the year they look to see what they have left and look for a worthy cause to donate the money to. This year (actually last year 2007), they picked us! It was such a blessing and such a surprise. Vonnie is David's Grandma's only living sibling. His grandma Roma died a few years ago. The R in Elizabeth Rose is for Grandma Roma.

The second gift came from friends of ours that I imagine would want to remain anonymous. When they gave us the check both David and I were so surprised and so choked up. They are wonderful friends and have been so supportive, but we never imagined they would be financially supportive too.

Thank you to both families!

More generosity!

God is so good! With in days of getting our referal, we were blessed with not just one, but two people willing to donate their frequent flyer miles! Plus they are both donating large amounts! Thank you so much to Wendell and Suzie in Dallas and Brendan in Milwaukee!

Thank you for responding to our letter

In October, we sent out a letter asking for help with the adoption. The letter was sent to people in New Jersey, where the Stolpes lived. It was not just about financhial help. We also asked for prayers, donations of children's clothing or other items and general support. Below is a list of those that responded. Thank you so much for your generosity! Beyond the financial support, the letters that have come are so touching. Everyone is praying for us in Milwaukee and Elizabeth in China. It is incredible how much people care about us. We are so honored and blessed.
